A Federal Consistency Certification has been submitted to the DNREC Delaware Coastal Management Program (DCMP) for the following: Leipsic Research Vessel Dock and Storage Building (2025.0035)

DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife proposes to utilize a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Individual Permit to construct a new dock in the Leipsic River, at the eastern terminus of Lombard Street, Leipsic, Kent County, Delaware (Tax Parcel 4-13-03910-01-3100-00001). The proposed dock would be 120 ft x 10 ft, fixed at the end of a 10 ft x 47 ft raised aluminum decking gangway, with a 5 ft x 5 ft hose platform and water and electric service. The structure would be supported by 18 galvanized steel pilings and extend approximately 25.2 feet channelward of Mean Low Water. The project would also involve the construction of a fueling facility and 60 ft x 66 ft storage building, with a portion (20 ft x 66 ft) dedicated to boat storage. The building will be uninhabited and equipped with electric and plumbing. The proposed activity is subject to review for consistency under the policies of the DNREC DCMP.
